Leep Utilities is progressing feasibility and design development to decarbonise the existing heat network and extend it to the new MediaCity2 development in Salford. The project is currently in RIBA Stage 3 technical design, supported by Buro Happold.
At this stage, Leep is engaging with the market to gauge interest from organisations who may wish to be involved in the future delivery of the network. The final procurement structure (e.g. DBOM, Design & Build, O&M) and associated timeline are still being confirmed and will be shaped by the outcomes of the ongoing procurement strategy work.
