Leeds City Council is procuring a Development and Funding partner to deliver a zonal scale heat network in Leeds city centre. The network will initially be focused in the South Bank, one of Europe's largest city centre regeneration zones. The council has already received £24.5m of GHNF funding for the project with commercialisation of the GHNF-scale project completing in early 2025. The procurement will launch in late June / early July 2025, with the development and funding partner taking a full business case to the final approval gateway, with a view to construction commencing on site in the second half of 2026.
